ＦＯＭＣは昨年１２月まで景気刺激のため住宅ローン担保証券（ＭＢＳ）を月４００億ドル、米国債を月４５０億ドルの総額８５０億ドルずつ買い増していた。

同月に初めて購入額縮小を決定したのを踏まえ今年１月からはこの総額をまず１００億ドル減額。

今回も前回と同様、現在は７５０億ドルになった追加購入規模をさらに１００億ドル減らすペースを守り、２月からは６５０億ドルにする。
